Research projects have a central position in bluefactory’s cultural approach. Bringing together professional artists and scientists to work across disciplines, these collaborations give rise to exploration, exchange and new forms of expression between the arts, sciences and society.

Calls for projects

At bluefactory, we host and support research residencies every year from May to September, bringing together professional artists and scientists.

The call for projects is launched each autumn for the following year’s residencies.

Programming

Each season, bluefactory presents the general public with interdisciplinary projects supported by artists or collectives who combine artistic practice with a scientific approach.

Culture strategy 2025-2030

The “arts and sciences” axis is part of the bluefactory district’s 2025–2030 culture strategy. This framework reaffirms our ambition to promote synergies between the cultural, academic and economic sectors. As well as encouraging interdisciplinary collaborations the strategy aims to develop new dedicated venues

Retrospective

The retrospective highlights projects that have marked bluefactory’s cultural life. It covers illustrated presentations of former research residencies together with our innovation district’s past annual cultural programmes.
