Legend has it that you dance better when you’ve had a drink

Like Modeste’s Salons, unusual places and flats are open to the public, with the difference that this time visitors are invited to learn a few dance steps. In each salon or apartment, a teacher of a particular style will be on hand to teach the class and share a drink between steps. Cheers!

It’s a weekend in May to celebrate and discover the Dance medium. Take a dance class you’ve never seen before, discover the work of choreographers and artists in cultural venues, be surprised by performances in the public space or try out your first dance step.Founded in Zurich in 2006 and supported by Reso (Réseau Danse Suisse), the Fête de la Danse has since become a unique event of national scope. 

The Fête de la Danse has been held in Fribourg since 2009, and in Bulle since 2022. Today, it’s one of the canton’s major events and one of its few dance festivals. Since 2012, the event has continued to grow, developing innovative projects, putting together a high-quality programme accessible to the whole population and supporting artists from Fribourg. bluefactory site hosts three performances of the vertical ballet “Her Ground is air” as well as introductory dance classes “Salons de Danse”.
